QuickStart
Let your agent drive Pulse
Create a key, connect Claude (or any MCP client), then ask in plain words. Everything an agent does is limited by the key's scopes and recorded in your audit log.
Create an API key
Sign in, open Settings → API keys, and create a key with the scopes your agent needs and an expiry date. It is shown once: copy it into your shell.
export KEY=nr_pulse_… export ORG=your-org-slugAdd it to Claude Code
One command registers Pulse's MCP server with your key:
claude mcp add --transport http pulse https://pulse.nightroll.app/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $KEY"Or connect claude.ai and Claude Desktop
No key needed: in Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste this URL. Claude opens Pulse's consent page, where you pick the organization and what Claude may do, then approve.

Try these prompts:
- Invite alex@example.com and sam@example.com to our org as members
- Show error logs from service checkout in the last hour
- Graph p95 of http.server.duration by route for today
- Create a heartbeat for my nightly backup cron `0 3 * * *` Europe/London with 30 minutes grace
- Alert me in Shift if `queue.depth` averages above 1000 for 5 minutes
The same thing over REST
Every MCP tool has a REST twin. Use the same key as a bearer token:
Invite two people
curl -X POST https://pulse.nightroll.app/api/orgs/$ORG/invites \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"emails":["alex@example.com","sam@example.com"],"role":"member"}'Error logs from the last hour
curl https://pulse.nightroll.app/api/v1/query -H "Authorization: Bearer $KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d "{\"signal\":\"logs\",\"from\":$(( $(date +%s) - 3600 ))000,\"to\":$(date +%s)000,\"minSev\":17}"List checks
curl https://pulse.nightroll.app/api/v1/checks -H "Authorization: Bearer $KEY"
